AEW Fight Forever is coming soon, with the game set to compete with WWE 2K22 for the “best wrestling game on the market” championship.
Details have been sparse around the game, however, with a few trailers and character reveal everything we’ve seen so far.
There’s a tentative release date of 2022, according to Gamerant, and Kenny Omega has now confirmed who will release the game when it finally releases.
Omega isn’t currently wrestling in AEW as he continues to deal with a number of injuries, but he appeared on a livestream over the weekend with Gaming CEO Founder Alex Jebailey, and online he confirmed who would be releasing the game. .
They have teamed up with THQ Nordic to release the game and put it on the shelves, but no further information has been given by the “best fighting machine”.
The title of the game was only recently confirmed and we haven’t had much information about AEW Fight Forever at this point.
It is perhaps surprising that Omega announced this information before the wrestling company or publisher, as one would expect a statement from both parties confirming their collaboration.
That didn’t happen and we don’t know, at this point, how much THQ Nordic is involved in the development of Fight Forever.
They’ve released a number of games over the years, including Destroy All Humans, Wreckfest, and Darksiders, but have yet to get into wrestling video games.
Omega also said they saw some new in-game material on the morning of the livestream, so we might get more information soon enough.
If they plan to release in 2022, however, one has to imagine we’ll have to get a release date soon enough.
We will let you know as soon as we have more information.
